All applicants to our school of massage in Houston must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must submit verification that they have received at least one professional bodywork session.
- Submit a completed application form, which includes a passport-size color photo, along with a $200.00 non-refundable application fee, a signed Pre-Enrollment Agreement, and a
- signed Enrollment Agreement.
- Fulfill the Houston School of Massage Application Interview Criteria in order to gain acceptance into the basic massage therapy program.
- Be physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially capable of completing the course.
- Agree to abide by all existing policies and procedures of the school as well as any amendments and modifications that may be adopted.
- Submit in full all paperwork and initial fees two weeks prior to the first day of class.
- Be aware that a prospective student may be ineligible for state registration if he or she has been:
a) Convicted of or entered a plea of nolo contendere, was found guilty to or received deferred adjudication to crimes or offenses involving prostitution or sexual offenses.
b) Convicted of a violation of the Act covering massage therapy within the past five years.
